“Rebirth of Planet” conveys a message that the entire restoration of the ecosystem, which is theoretically only possible after human extinction, will not make remnants of anthropogenic destruction disappear. This drawing is rooted in a scenario where the apocalypse vanishes humanity, and animals occupy the abandoned land. Animals are wearing items that accidentally caught their body, with no understanding of how to remove them. This inevitable ending warns that recovery is not fully accomplished by the ironic action of protecting the environment that actually benefits humans.
A TASTE OF SUMMER, 2025

“A Taste of Summer” is a work that connects sparkling memories of flavor to the season itself. The sweet and refreshing taste of summer is formed through the senses of the tongue and becomes stored in memory, lingering for a long time. Whenever this soft, cool taste is recalled, it brings back people, air, and humidity that stayed with taste, returning to me as a connected experience. By containing taste within a rectangular box and extending it outward, I express the raw and fundamental nature of flavor.

SPIRAL GROWTH, 2025

“Spiral Growth” is a still-life drawing that explores the characteristics of a seashell. The two contrasting colors represent the restraint hidden within the ornate pattern of the seashell. Its spiral structure, in which the new structure forms inward, reveals external beauty while demonstrating an inwardly condensed strength. The lighter side conveys the beauty of patterns and form, while the darker side embodies the solid strength that lies within.

This work is one of continuous line studies of depicting my room, where I feel the most comfortable staying at. After drawing, I scanned it and added digital drawing on it. I symbolized the warm, comfortable feeling I felt in my room by drawing summer beach on the wall.
